Due to the popularity of the meeting, all registration categories and the waiting list are now full.

Please note that registrations for the Zebrafish Workshop cannot be made online for this workshop.  For further details regarding the registration process for the Zebrafish Workshop please click here.

Below please find information regarding the deadline dates and fees to attend the meeting.

*A Student/Technician is considered to be someone who is working under the responsibility of another person, and thus is not responsible for a laboratory/service/unit, and who is either executing routine and/or specialised techniques or is pursuing a PhD or other degree. Note that Postdoctoral scientists are not eligible for Technician/Student membership. Technician/Students are requested to email the Meeting Organizers () with a letter/email from their supervisor, confirming their status as a student or technician.

The fee for the TT2014 Meeting includes:

  • Attendance at the scientific sessions
  • Poster Viewing Reception 

  • Lunches on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 

  • Morning and afternoon refreshment breaks
  • Attendance at the Meeting Banquet on October 7, 2014 - please note that this option must be selected when registering.


Please note the fee for registered participants does NOT include:

  • Accommodation
  • Pre Meeting Social Event at the Ghillie Dhu
  • Attendance at the the Zebrafish Workshop

Payment of Registration Fees

The preferred method of payment is by card using our online facility. We accept the following cards: Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard and Delta.  Unfortunately we are unable to accept American Express, Switch, Solo or Maestro cards. If you are unable to pay online you can select to be invoiced, an invoice will be sent to you within 5 working days upon receipt of your registration. We would be grateful if this invoice can be paid within 28 days from the date of issue.

Terms and Conditions of Registration

Before proceeding with your registration, please read the following terms and conditions carefully:
Notifications of cancellations should be made in writing and sent to the conference organisers
(In Conference Ltd at ). Substitutions can be made at any time. If you have been invoiced but not paid the fees, you are still liable to pay the cancellation charges below:

Up to and including August 8, 2014
Registration fee will be refunded less £35 administration fee.

After August 8, 2014
No refunds on registration fees will be made.
Non attendance at the meeting will not result in a refund.

ISTT Registration Awards

A minimum of six registration awards for ISTT members will be sponsored by the International Society for Transgenic Technologies.  Applications should be sent, along with the registration document to by June 30, 2014.

The ISTT will pay the Registration Fee of all applicants selected for an award. Please note that applicants not selected for an award are required to pay the coresponding registration fee.  Please note the Award covers registration fees and attendance at all social events, however, does not cover travel, accommodation expenses or attendance at pre meeting events.

Award decisions will be communicated by July 15, 2014 and awardees will receive a diploma at 
the TT2014 Meeting.

Documents to be Provided by the Applicant
a) Applicant’s CV
b) Letter describing how the applicant will benefit from attendance at the TT2014 Meeting
c) Only for technician/students: Letter of support from the applicant’s head/supervisor stating the support to the applicant’s participation in the TT2014 Meeting and highlighting why attendance will benefit the applicant’s career

Procedure
Applicants must register first at the corresponding TT2014 Meeting website and select, as a payment method, “application for registration awards”. The ISTT will pay the Registration Fee of all applicants selected for an award. Please note however that if applicants are not selected they would be kindly requested to pay the corresponding registration fee.

Selection Process
The ISTT Council will examine all applications received. Registration Awards will be selected according to the documents submitted and with preference given to:

1) Student/Technician ISTT Members
2) ISTT Members submitting an abstract for presentation as a poster/short-oral communication at the TT meeting
3) Any other ISTT Member

Decision
Award decisions will be communicated by July 15, 2014 and awardees will receive a diploma at the
Awards ceremony during the TT2014 Meeting. Applicants that are not yet members of the ISTT may choose to register/join first the ISTT and simultaneously submit their travel/registration award application. ISTT Registration/Travel awards for each TT2014 Meeting will only be provided to ISTT members who have paid their current annual fees.

Registration for the Workshop: "An Introduction to Zebrafish Transgenesis"

Please note that attendance at this meeting is limited to 20 participants only.  Due also to high demand for places, there is a selection process in place for all applicants wishing to attend the workshop.  Applications should be sent, along with proof of registration to by June 30, 2014.

Decisions on the successful applicants will be communicated by July 15, 2014.

To apply for a place at the Zebrafish Workshop, please submit the following required details:
a) Applicant’s CV including details of your current post/position.
b) A personal statement of no more than 300 words to include:
- Applicant’s background (knowledge and experience) with current transgenic technologies, including Zebrafish Transgenesis, if applicable?
- Why the applicant is seeking a place on the Introduction to Zebrafish Transgenesis workshop?
- Is there a zebrafish facility to which the applicant has, or can gain, direct access?
- What future use and applications of zebrafish transgenic technologies are to be applied by the applicant?


Selection Process
The Workshop Organising Committee will examine all applications received. Workshop delegates will be selected according to the documents submitted and with preference given to those applicants that, by attending the workshop, will:
1) contribute most to the workshop
2) gain the most benefit

Payment for attendance at the workshop should be made by 31 July 2014, after applicant selection.

Decision
Workshop attendance decisions will be communicated by July 15, 2014. Applicants that are not yet members of the ISTT may choose to register/join first the ISTT and simultaneously submit their registrations for the TT2014 Meeting and application for the Introduction to Zebrafish Transgenesis Workshop. 

         

IMPORTANT:
VISA INFORMATION

If you are an EU citizen, you must either present a passport or an ID card valid for the duration of your stay in order to enter Scotland for tourist visits of up to three months.

 Citizens of other countries must have a valid passport.

Some non-EU citizens are required to produce a visa. Please contact your travel agent or the nearest UK diplomatic post for further information. 

Should you need a letter of invitation to obtain an Entry Visa, please contact the conference organisers. These will only be issued to delegates who have fully registered and paid.
