Thom Saunders

Thom Saunders directs the University of Michigan Transgenic Animal Model Core Facility. He began work in transgenic mouse models in 1989. His Core has generated over 10,000 transgenic mouse founders and hundreds of mouse knockout models for biomedical research. Numerous scientists from around the world have completed transgenesis and mouse ES cell training courses in his Core. He is Vice President of the International Society of Transgenic Technologies and was a founding member of the ISTT.
