Marina Gertsenstein

Marina has worked in the Transgenic Core at Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute, Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto since 1992. Under the guidance of Andras Nagy and Janet Rossant this facility pioneered the production of chimeras by aggregation and Tetraploid Complementation Assay.  Marina derived and characterized several ES cell lines currently used around the world and coordinated the amalgamation of two Transgenic Facilities into TCP Transgenic Core in 2007.
