Jan Parker-Thornburg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, U.S.A.  She obtained her PhD from Indiana University and then held a postdoctoral position at the University of Cincinnati.  There she trained in the field of transgenesis, after which she went to The Ohio State University to establish their transgenic facility.  In 2002, she moved to M. D. Anderson and where she manages the Genetically Engineered Mouse Facility.
